When talking about “seeing through Jehovah’s eyes,” we do not mean this in any poetic sense. This is a state of mind, a spiritual shift in how we choose to view others, their circumstances, and even ourselves. It involves seeing past the surface, the mess, and the momentary distress, and viewing things through God’s eyes, with grace, purpose, and love.

But what does that really look like in day-to-day life?

1. Seeing People with Compassion, Not Judgment

Sometimes, from the outside, we see others’ behavior, appearance, or attitude as hard to handle. But Jehovah sees their hearts. When we start to see people through God’s eyes, we see beyond categorizing them as “difficult,” “lazy,” or “lost” and start seeing their pain, brokenness, and potential.

In my days as a Bus Operator, I have encountered so many types of passengers, from the homeless, the angry, and the silent to the joyful and disruptive. When I began praying for God to allow me to see those passengers through His eyes, it changed everything: the angry man became a wounded man in the world. The tired mother became overwhelmed and was doing her best, not just an impatient woman.

How can Jehovah fail to see? His eyes are filled with compassion, so should ours!

2. How to Find Meaning in Every Little Moment?

Life can feel meaningless when you’re stuck in the same routine. The moments, like when you’re trapped in a traffic jam, dealing with complicated coworkers, or even facing some personal issues on an ordinary Tuesday, you may feel life is mundane. It dawns on you that nothing special is going to happen to you in this life. Yet God wouldn’t miss a moment. Every interaction, irritating delay, or unexpected detour could be regarded as a chance from heaven.

Seeing through Jehovah’s eyes means looking for the why behind the what. It’s believing that every moment, especially the ones that feel inconvenient, may be part of God’s plan to reach someone, teach you something, or reveal His glory.

3. Responding with Obedience Instead of Impulse

When we act in accordance with our instincts, we’re reactive. We can get annoyed, offended, or impatient. But God’s ways are higher than our ways. To see as He sees means to slow oneself down to ask Him, “God, how do You want me to respond here?” The Holy Spirit prompts kindness when it’s least deserved or even prompts you to keep your mouth shut at a time when you’re almost ready to snap at somebody. Even if obedience seems unreasonable, it will always be found in love.

4. Seeing Yourself the Way God Sees You

God’s perspective is not just for other people; it is also about how we view ourselves. When viewing things in Almighty Jehovah’s way, we no longer see ourselves as defined or limited by our job titles or our recent failures, but rather begin to see our worth as a child of God.

You see, wherever you are, be it a bus route, office desk, or kitchen counter, this is your platform for ministry. And that is powerful.

Final Thoughts

Seeing through Jehovah’s eyes is a daily practice of inviting God into our perspective. It’s not easy, but it’s transformational. It softens hearts, changes lives, and draws us closer to God’s heart.

So the next time you’re tempted to judge, rush, or dismiss, pause. Pray. And ask: Jehovah, help me see this the way You do.
